Communication and Collaboration
As we transition back to a blended environment of home and office workers and forge new ways of working (again), breaking down any habits of silo working and encouraging communication and collaboration should be first on the agenda.
How will I benefit?
This 60-minute workshop will help you:
- Understand why and how silo working takes place
- Know how to identify a silo mentality
- Encourage a more collaborative mindset
- Appreciate how the colour energies collaborate and communicate
- Run meetings that follow a true collaborative process
- Learn from others on how they are managing the transition
Why this workshop is important
During the last 12 months, teams and leaders have had to put first things first and focus on the more basics of working practices to just get through the day. Although essential, this focus has starved some organisations of a collaborative approach and limited interdepartmental communication simply because we haven’t been walking the halls or meeting in the kitchen. Now that we have started the journey towards the next generation of hybrid working encouraging a more collaborative and communicative way of working will stimulate creativity and innovation.
In this workshop we will:
- Delve into the psychology of silo mentalities
- Establish why a culture of collaboration is the next generation of teamworking!
- Look at the colour energies’ strengths and weaknesses in collaboration
- Introduce you to our COLLABOR8 meeting framework
- Connect, engage and learn from likeminded people

Comments from past participants
"Good balance between solutions and underlying theory. Good coverage in one hour."
"Thank you for hosting what has been the most useful resilience workshop that I have attended during lockdown. It was so useful to be able to discuss with others who knew their colour preferences the ways of coping that worked for us, often coping mechanisms tend to be too generic."
"Thanks for running this session. I'd not used the break out rooms - very good, great to have the 2 min count down to end of discussion. Was very useful to see what other people are doing, particularly in relation to COVID-related change."
"I found today really good. I was a little nervous beforehand – what was it going to be like / the format etc. soon as it got underway I was fine. Well presented, well-formatted – 1 hour flew by! I started today not feeling great, but after 1 hour felt a lot better. Remembering how we move from one colour to another – made me feel a bit more ‘normal’ with the thoughts/actions I have been experiencing. Keep up the great work and thank you for today!"

"Would just like to say thank you. I woke up yesterday feeling really fed up. Many days have been the same with endless Zoom meetings with learners and meetings. I felt this was just the thing I needed yesterday and really enjoyed all of the content and the breakout room where I could speak with likeminded people."
