As you know, The Colour Works is committed to “changing the way people work together” for the better – translating improved emotional intelligence in leaders and team members into more vibrant workplaces in which everyone feels valued and gets heard. Ever since we started, back in 2003, clients have been amazed by the transformative power of the colour model on themselves and their relationships, both in and out of work, saying things like “Why didn’t I know this stuff before?! Actually, why doesn’t EVERYONE know it?!”And it was this line of thinking that motivated Founder, Giles Miskin, to set up The Colour Works Foundation in 2017 – a registered charity dedicated to equipping socially-excluded young people with the tools to rebuild self-belief, manage relationships better, work effectively as part of a team, present with confidence, make more considered decisions and, overall, improve their employability. In the last 12 months, the Foundation has:

  • Worked with over 230 young people who have measurably grown in confidence and resilience. Each young person has been able to identify clear next steps to achieving their goals.
  • Forged partnerships with, amongst others, The Prince’s Trust, the YMCA and the National Citizenship Service to deliver to their clients.
  • Transferred all learning materials onto an online platform to ensure the young people can still be reached during socially-distanced times.
  • Trained 2 new facilitators to expand reach and capacity.

“Working with these young people is tremendously rewarding,” adds Giles, “seeing them visibly grow in confidence throughout the programme. And 2021 is shaping up to be an exciting year for growth.”
