Ian Macknight
Ian has over 30 years’ experience with a Fortune 100 company and as a consultant, facilitator and coach. He has delivered high performance leadership development programmes in the UK, Europe, North America and Asia, and has a wealth of experience in businesses across all sectors, ranging from start-ups to global corporations.
Prior to joining The Colour Works, Ian headed up a pan-European employee engagement programme that won awards for achieving superb results in record time. He has great insight into the issues that undermine or promote optimal performance and as a highly accomplished facilitator, has helped improve the awareness, understanding and effectiveness of thousands of businessmen and women around the world.
For Ian, it’s about culture, people and the conversations we have and don’t have. It’s about taking responsibility as we lead and as we follow and maintaining a learning mindset as we strive to improve individual and team performance. Central to this is that people have a sound sense of interpersonal safety. Ian works hard to foster that in all aspects of his work, and finds it reaps enormous benefits. “When we feel secure enough to engage in open, honest, robust conversation, relationships are transformed and significant improvements in performance naturally follow.”
When he’s not working and even when he is, Ian loves travel, the arts, live music and great company.
